This Weekend at The Music Center

December is a busy month here at The Music Center and as such there are a myriad of things to see and enjoy this weekend.  Here’s the breakdown…

Center Theatre Group presents another mesmerizing performance of The Christians in the Mark Taper Forum, while the LA Phil presents a thrilling classical program featuring violinist Gil Shaham with Dudamel conducting, in the Walt Disney Concert Hall.  And Camille A. Brown & Dancer’s fantastic Black Girl: Linguistic Play continues it’s weekend run the REDCAT theater.



Catch the LA Phil’s Toyota Symphonies for Youth series with The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra at 11am in the Disney Concert Hall.  Then at 2pm, see the La Master Chorale’s jubilant Festival of Carols.  Round off your day with the LA Opera’s stunning production of Norma in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at 7:30pm.  Additionally, all of Friday’s shows will play again on Saturday.



Sunday offers a reprise of shows from the weekend, including matinees of Dudamel & Shaham from LA Phil, The Christians from Center Theatre Group (there will also be an evening performance), and Camille A. Brown & Dancer’s  Black Girl: Linguistic Play from REDCAT.  Additionally, the LA Master Chorale will give an evening performance of Handel’s Messiah in the Walt Disney Concert Hall that is sure to be absolutely glorious.
