There’s always something happening here at The Music Center and lately we’ve been cooking up some pretty cool new projects. Most recently, we launched a new online challenge called Artizen Lab that’s all about ideas and strengthening our Los Angeles community through the arts. Because after all, the best solutions always start with a creative idea and we want to bring yours to life!
We teamed up with the County of Los Angeles Public Library to challenge you to Cite Your Source and tell your LA story through art. Submit your idea for how you would bring about a sense of community to the lab between now and February 20th. Then a panel of judges will narrow the submissions down to the top ideas. After that, we’re letting the world vote on which of those top ideas they would want to see realized and the ones with the most votes will be produced at Artizen Day. Pretty cool huh?
Anyone can be an Artizen and all ideas are welcome. But to get the ball rolling and the creative juices flowing, we teamed up with our friends at GOOD and GOODcorps to host an evening of workshops, networking and fun. We called it an Idea Jam and it was both jammin’ and brimming with creative ideas! Here’s a little visual recap of how things went down…
Over the next couple weeks, there will be more Idea Jams at several county library locations to help you continue to brainstorm ideas to submit to the challenge. Check out our Artizen Lab website for all details, dates, as well as how to register and submit your own brilliant idea!
