This Week @MusicCenterLA

There are some wonderful choices this week at The Music Center…

World City at The Music Center kicks off 2015 with a couple FREE mid-day performances of Samite + H’Sao this Saturday at the W.M. Keck Children’s Amphitheatre on the roof of the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Registration is currently closed, but there will be walk-up tickets available on a first come first served basis.

For a more intimate opportunity to experience the Montreal-based performers from Chad, come experience The Music Center Presents: H’Sao on Saturday night in the Eva & Marc Stern Grand Hall at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

This Sunday Center Theatre Group closes Noël Coward’s Blithe Spirit at the Ahmanson. Be sure to get your seat to see this rare reprisal role for Angela Lansbury.

LA Phil presents Kremer & Trifonov in Recital tonight, three performances through the weekend of Music From the Heart: Sibelius & Gorecki, a Sunday evening presentation of Colburn Orchestra with Marriner, and Chamber Music Society with Emanuel Ax on Tuesday at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

REDCAT presents the Los Angeles-based collaborators multimedia production Cloud Eye Control: Half Life with multiple performances this week.

Ongoing daily throughout the week and all the way through to March is the ASCAP: One-Hundred Years and Beyond exhibit in the Library of Congress Ira Gershwin Gallery at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Free and open to the public!

See you at the Center!
