See the classic 1950’s musical take on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, by attending a special screening of West Side Story. The Los Angeles Conservancy will screen the groundbreaking 1961 musical at The Music Center’s Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on June 14 as part of its Last Remaining Seats series. Before the screening, dance critic Debra Levine will interview dancer, singer, and Academy Award®-winning actor George Chakiris, who immortalized the role of Bernardo in the film. “A great house of dance, a great dance movie, a great American dancer,” says Levine.
